Wolves have extended their winning start to 2022 as Bruno Lage’s side sealed a 3-1 win over Southampton.
Wolves were forced to survive spells of Southampton pressure early on but their cutting edge up top eventually sealed the win.
Despite struggling to carve out an impact early on, Wolves were handed a gift before the break, as Jan Bednarek clumsily felled Rayan Alt-Nouri and Raul Jimenez rolled home from the spot.
And the Saints continued to be frustrated after the restart as Jose Sa produced an incredible stop to deny Mo Salisu before Conor Coady bundled Wolves 2-0 in front.
But there was no lying down from Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side as James Ward-Prowse rocketed home an incredible free kick and Roman Perraud nodded against the post.
And with a luckless Southampton cursing those chances the Adama Traore freight train wrapped it up for Wolves.
Full Time from Molineux it’s Wolves 3-1 Southampton
