Wolves have picked up their first Premier League win of the season as Bruno Lage’s side clinched a late 2-0 win at Watford.
Lage’s Watford team have found themselves unable to catch a break in recent weeks and their first points of the campaign come at a vital time.
Both sides only offered a sporadic threat before the break with summer signing Josh King inches away from scoring for Watford before Hornets stopper Daniel Bachmann superbly kept out Nelson Semedo.
But despite the evenness, it was Wolves that looked to step up a gear after the restart as Trincao tested Bachmann from Adama Traore’s deep cross.
And a Wolves breakthrough looked inevitable late on as Mexican star Raul Jimenez nodded wide from Joao Moutinho’s free kick.
But despite the attacking talent on display for Wolves it was an own goal that edged them in front as Francisco Sierralta nodded past Bachmann.
And with Wolves in cruise control in the final minutes there was even time for debutant Hwang Hee-Chan to poke home a second.
Full Time from Vicarage Road it’s Watford 0 Wolves 2
