Newcastle boss Steve Bruce remains under real pressure this weekend as Ismaila Sarr’s late goal snatched a late 1-1 draw for Watford.

Newcastle are still without a win this season and Bruce knows his position is under threat following a draw to Watford.

Both sides looked fully of work rate but it was a moment of quality from Sean Longstaff that eventually tipped the balance in Newcastle’s favour.

Allan Saint-Maximin’s short corner found him in space on the edge of the box and the midfielder rattled home his first goal in 14 months.

But credit to Watford, they refused to buckle after the break, as Ben Foster kept out Joe Willock before the on form Sarr finally made the difference.

Danny Rose’s corner was cleverly flicked on by Josh King at the near post and Sarr kept his cool to nod past Karl Darlow.

Full Time from Vicarage Road it’s Watford 1-1 Newcastle
