Watford have joined the queue of potential destinations for Barcelona’s French defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

Leicester, AC Milan, Southampton and Schalke are all also keeping an eye on the centre back, with the 20-year-old potentially surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou.

The Frenchman has been on loan at Schalke 04 this season, but David Wagner’s side might not be the most attractive proposal after a disappointing season which will see them finish mid-table.

Leicester may well see the defender as a replacement for Caglar Soyuncu, should the Turkish international be lured by a big money offer, potentially opening the door for Watford.

Napoli are also claimed with an interest, but similarly would likely wait until they sold Kalidou Koulibaly.

That leaves the Premier League as a possible destination for Todibo, who was regarded as one of the brightest talents in Europe during his time at Toulouse.

If Watford can stay up this season, Todibo might be one to keep an eye on this summer.
