Tottenham were forced to dig deep to secure an FA Cup Fourth Round spot as they squeezed out a 3-1 win over Morecambe.

Spurs looked in danger of a cup giant killing against the League One side before Antonio Conte’s late substitutes tipped it for them.

The visitors looked to make it difficult for Spurs early on and they got their reward as Antony O’Connor volleyed home Alfie McCalmont’s corner.

But as Conte rolled the dice late on, Spurs’ class began to turn the tie, as Harry Winks arrowed home an equaliser.

And that looked to have broken the Morecambe resistance as Lucas Moura raced clear to edge them in front and Harry Kane measured home a third.

Full Time from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium it’s Tottenham 3 Morecambe 1
