Former Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson has called on boss Jose Mourinho to break the bank to sign Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar in January.

Mourinho is doing everything in his power to talk down talk of a title push in 2021 but their impressive form means they will be right in the mix in the months ahead.

Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld have formed a solid partnership at the back for Spurs this season but Robinson believes they need more quality.

He told an interview with Teamalk.com that Spurs should reignite their interested in Slovakian international Skriniar after being linked with him in the summer.

Inter’s Champions League exit could also be a bonus for Spurs, if Jose makes a move, with Skriniar’s asking price set to drop to below £50m.
