Tottenham end the weekend with the key advantage in the Top Four race after they scrapped out a 1-0 win over struggling Burnley.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham side now heap the pressure on rivals Arsenal as they head to Newcastle tomorrow night.

Spurs looked to set the tempo from the off following their North London derby win as Son Heung-min’s effort was beaten out by Nick Pope before Nathan Collins got back to hook away Harry Kane’s flick.

However, despite Spurs’ dominance, Burnley almost edged in front via Maxwell Cornet, before Kane’s controversial spot kick grabbed the breakthrough.

The Clarets did push to force the issue after the break, as Ashley Barnes thumped one against the post, before Pope again kept out Son.

Full Time from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium it’s Tottenham 1 Burnley 0
