Thomas Tuchel has his first win as Chelsea boss as the Blues secured a dominant 2-0 win over Burnley.
Chelsea looked in the mood right from the start at the Bridge as goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso secured a timely three points.
But despite their strong start it was familiar story of struggles in front goal for Chelsea as Alonso and Timo Werner wasted golden chances.
And with their attacking stars unable to make an impact, it was left to Azpilicueta to break the deadlock, as he covered half the pitch to smash home Callum Hudson-Odoi’s pass.
Hudson-Odoi continued to carry the Chelsea threat once again after the break as his drive smacked against the post.
But Chelsea were in no mood to let their lead slip away in the closing stages as Alonso finally wrapped up the win.
The Spaniard collected Christian Pulisic’s cross on the run in the box and volleyed brilliantly past Nick Pope.
