Burnley welcome Fulham to Turf Moor for their first game under new ownership in the early kick-off on Sunday.
And with the transfer window open, Sean Dyche will probably be showing his news bosses the lengthy list of Clarets players out of action again, to which previously ever-present Charlie Taylor was added after tweaking his hamstring against Sheffield United. Also in doubt for this game are McNeil, Vydra, Rodriguez, Gudmundsson, and Jack Cork.
Things look a little better for a Fulham side who come into the game on the back of positive covid tests. Their match was called off less than three hours before kick-off after an outbreak of coronavirus in the Cottagers camp, and Mourinho has said he felt the handling of the situation was “unprofessional.”
Parker has revealed he is unsure if his side’s next match against Burnley on Sunday will go ahead after the Covid-19 outbreak and, after having already made one late adjustment this week, he admits he can see why Mourinho was frustrated, as was he himself.
Should as we hope the game goes ahead, then Fulham will have both Mario Lemina and Ivan Cavalero available for selection.
And if it does the odds are highly in favour of the game ending in a draw – Burnley haven’t lost this fixture since 1951 and Fulham come into the game having drawn their last 4 league matches.
The Game kicks off at midday on Sunday the 3rd January.
