Southampton have cruised into the FA Cup semi-finals thanks to an easy 3-0 win away at local rivals Bournemouth.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side were never really out of second gear against their Championship hosts as goals from Moussa Djenepo and Nathan Redmond booked their last four spot.

The Saints looked to dominate right from the start in this south coast derby with Cameron Carter-Vickers early own goal ruled out for offside on Kyle Walker-Peters.

But with the visitors unable to make their early dominance count, there was a few bright spots for Bournemouth as Arnaut Danjuma tested Fraser Forster and Rodrigo Riquelme fired over.

And with Southampton sensing their chance before the break the visitors fired in a quick-fire double.

Ryan Bertrand slipped in Djenepo to emphatically break the deadlock before Redmond smacked home a second.

That took the sting out of it after the restart and Redmond made it 100% on the hour as he tucked home as Stuart Armstrong’s effort bounced back off the post.

Full Time from the Vitality Stadium it’s Bournemouth 0 Southampton 3
