Southampton have brought an early end to their association with Under Armour, and will have a new kit supplier next season
Southampton have announced a new long-term partnership with Danish manufacturer Hummel, which will begin from next season.
The Saints are set to part ways with current supplier Under Armour earlier than anticipated, after their current deal was expected to run until 2023. Instead, Hummel will return as kit supplier after a 30-year absence.
The pair previously partnered between 1987-1991 which saw a number of cult classic designs introduced, including the club’s memorable 87/88 home shirt, based on Denmark’s 1986 World Cup shirts.
Hummel will double the amount of Premier League clubs they supply with the partnership, as they currently produce Everton’s designs. Expect to see more chevrons and bumblebees when the new season kicks off in August.
