AFC Bournemouth are set to hand short-term contract extensions to 4 senior players.

Charie Daniels, Simon Francis, Andrew Surman and Artur Boruc are all in line to pen deals taking them up to the conclusion of the Premier League season.

The quartet, who were part of the Cherries’ promotion-winning side of 2014-15, are all out of contract in the summer.

Eddie Howe has had significant injury issues to contend with this season, and will return to the dugout on June 20 against Crystal Palace with his side in the Premier League relegation zone.

Having Surman, Francis and Boruc available again will be a welcome boost for the Bournemouth boss – although Charlie Daniels is still nursing a long-term knee injury.

Liverpool have already confirmed that loanee Harry Wilson will stay on the South Coast until the season’s end.

However, talks over a possible short-term Cherries deal for wantaway Ryan Fraser are understandably more complicated.
