Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his eyes set on the final ahead of Sunday's Europa League showdown with Sevilla
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stressed that just reaching a third semi-final of the season alone isn’t good enough for Manchester United, as his side gears up for Sunday’s Europa League showdown with Sevilla.
Having bowed out in the final four of this year’s Carabao Cup and FA Cup, the Red Devils are looking to go one better when they take on the in-form Spaniards at the weekend.
Meanwhile, plans are already in place for next season and it seems United are close to signing Kalidou Koulibaly. United had previously made an offer for the player in 2018, which was rejected. However, the finances at Naples have taken a turn for the worse since they last rejected United’s offer.
It is something of an open secret that the club now needs to sell players and at 29, Koulibaly is one of their most valuable assets and is at an age where it is now or never in terms of cashing in on him. And with United already in the champions league, the move would be appealing.
We could be seeing Koulibaby pull on a united shirt next season for somewhere around 70 million euros.
