The late kick off on Wednesday sees Brighton welcome Liverpool to the Amex
Liverpool have never lost a top-flight game at Brighton with 3 wins and 3 draws, but unbelievably if you combine all competitions – The Reds have gone seven hours and 42 minutes without scoring an away goal. Failure to score in this game would give them their worst run since 1992 – not the kind of record Klopp wants to be breaking.
Liverpool were short of their best against Aston Villa on Sunday but are just 4 wins away from the highest ever points total in the premier league.
Klopp is already looking ahead though – having signed long term deals with youngsters Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot, Jurgen has revealed his dream is to turn out a team of scousers.
Graham Potter doesn’t have the same resources at his disposal but maybe looking at setting some records of his own, the seagulls have already equalled last season’s Premier League points total and goals tally – five more points would take them above their highest ever with 41.
As it stands though, Liverpool could finish the season with almost 3 times Brighton’s current point total…
That game kicks off at the Amex at 8:15pm on Wednesday.
