Spanish giants Real Madrid remain confident of securing a deal for Paul Pogba in 2022 according to reports from Spain.

Real Madrid have been linked with the Frenchman since 2020 after Pogba hinted at his desire to leave United.

However, despite opting to remain in Manchester, Pogba’s contract extension talks have hit a wall in recent months.

His current deal expires next summer and United are no closer to knowing whether he will stay on or not.

Reports from Diario AS claim Real are watching on with interest and will make a pre contract move in January if United failed to agree an extension.
