West Ham have missed the chance to move second in the Premier League table as they lost 1-0 away at Wolves.

West Ham struggled to ignite on a drab day in the West Midlands with a moment of class from Raul Jimenez proving decisive for Wolves.

The Hammers did create the better chances early on as Jarrod Bowen nodded one just wide and Tomas Soucek drew a fine stop from Jose Sa.

However, with the game in the balance after the restart, it was the hosts that took up the initiative at Molineux.

Daniel Podence was superbly kept out by Lukasz Fabianksi before Jimenez provided the vital touch of magic.

The Mexican brilliantly held his run on the edge of the box to open up and curl one past Fabianksi.

David Moyes did look to roll the dice with Andriy Yarmolenko and Nikola Vlasic thrown on late in the day.

But in the end, Moyes’ boys were unable to force an equaliser.

Full Time from Molineux it’s Wolves 1-0 West Ham
