Tottenham will look to shake off their North London rivals for the fourth spot as they take on Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Thomas Frank’s side continued their impressive form after a 2-1 victory over Watford in their last match, while Antonio Conte’s side were defeated by Brighton.

Brentford have kicked into form right when it mattered after winning their fifth game in their last six matches, this time it was Watford who were the victims.

Both Christian Norgaard and Pontus Jansson were on the scoresheet as their goals took the Bees into 12th position, now just two points from Leicester City in ninth.

The home side have kept three clean sheets in their last four games at the Brentford Community Stadium, and it will be a reunion as Christian Eriksen faces his former club.

Despite a sublime run of form from Conte’s side, they too fell victim to Brighton’s conquering of North London as they were dealt a blow in their top four hopes.

Graham Potter’s side made it two wins from two in just a week as his side defeated Arsenal and Spurs, with Leandro Trossard on target to take all three points from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With Arsenal beating Chelsea midweek, it now leaves them level on points with Spurs with the latter having the better goal difference.

Team news

Brentford will be without Ethan Pinnock, Sergi, Canos and Frank Onyeka through injury, with Christian Eriksen facing his former side as he partners with Vitaly Janelt in midfield.

As for Spurs, the trio of Matt Doherty, Japhet Tanganga and Oliver Skipp all remain on the sidelines.

Brentford vs Tottenham – kick off at 5:30pm (UK time) on Saturday 23rd April 2022.
