Manchester United’s Top Four bandwagon rolls on thanks to a ruthless 5-2 win at home to Bournemouth.
Two goals from teenage hotshot Mason Greenwood, alongside strikes from Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side continue their impressive form.
But despite the score at full time, it was not all plain sailing for Solskjaer, as Junior Stanislas edged the visitors ahead on 15 minutes.
However, United’s on fire attack took over from there, as Greenwood tucked home Fernandes cross on the half hour, and Rashford slotted home from the penalty spot.
Martial made it three just before the break, with arguably best goal of the day.
The Frenchman showed incredible calmness to collect Fernandes’ ball and lash past Aaron Ramsdale.
Despite being two goals down after the break, Bournemouth hauled themselves back into it, as former United man Josh King scored from the spot.
But the was nothing to worry about for United fans, as Greenwood kept his brilliant run going to make it 4-2 on 56 minutes.
With their two-goal cushion back, United were in cruise control, as Fernandes got in on the act with a trademark free kick after an hour.
United could, and probably should have made it six or seven in the closing stages, but Ramsdale did brilliantly to recover some pride with stops from Rashford and Fernandes.
