Chelsea have responded to Manchester United’s Top Four challenge, with an impressive 3-0 victory over Watford.

Frank Lampard’s side were under pressure to react following United’s 5-2 win over Bournemouth earlier today.

But despite the high stakes goals from Olivier Giroud, Willian and Ross Barkley secured three goals and three points for the home side.

Chelsea were on top from the start in this one, as Giroud and Willian both forced early saves from Ben Foster.

And with the hosts dominant, Giroud finally found a breakthrough on the half hour mark, as he tucked home Barkley’s square ball.

Chelsea kept coming in waves of attacks, and Willian made it 2-0 from the penalty spot just before the break.

Watford were unable to muster a response after the break, as Foster kept up his one-man mission to keep the score down.

But as the visitors tired in the closing stages, Chelsea showed their ruthless streak in added time as Barkley fired home a third.
