Brighton’s Premier League survival hopes have been given a real boost thanks to a 1-0 win at Norwich.

Leandro Trossard’s first half goal was the difference between the sides, as Brighton push closer to safety and Norwich slide towards the Championship.

Neither side created much in a busy opening 25 minutes, with Trossard providing the first piece of real quality.

Aaron Mooy led the Brighton charge on the counterattack, and Trossard time his run perfectly into the box to slot past Tim Krul.

Brighton looked to up the tempo just after the break, as Krul was called into action to deny Aaron Connolly and Dan Burn.

But with the visitors unable to find a second goal, Daniel Farke rolled the dice in the closing stages by bringing on Teemu Pukki and Adam Idah.

And Irish U21 international almost grabbed an equaliser in added time, but his flicked header came back off the post.
