Manchester United v Arsenal clashes may not hold the Premier League prestige they once did, but the Gunners midweek trip to Old Trafford could be crucial for both sides this month.

Manchester United’s incoming boss Ralf Rangnick will wait until the weekend to take charge with caretaker boss Michael Carrick in temporary charge for the final time against Arsenal.

Carrick is boosted by the return of captain Harry Maguire following suspension, but fellow England star Luke Shaw faces a late check following concussion.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also set to be recalled by Carrick with Mason Greenwood also tipped for a recall.

Mikel Arteta has kept changes to a minimum in recent weeks and he could name an unchanged side at Old Trafford.

Bukayo Saka looks set to be passed fit with Alexandre Lacazette and Gabriel Martinelli staying on the bench.

And this age-old Manchester United vs Arsenal rivalry restarts with an 8.15pm kick off on Thursday night at Old Trafford.
