Aston Villa’s battle to stay in the Premier League takes them Liverpool this weekend, with Dean Smith’s hoping to catch the Reds on an off day.

Smith is in need of a big result against the champions, and he’s boosted by some positive injury news.

Neil Taylor is set to replace Matt Targett at left back, but Federic Guilbert and Bjorn Engels are fit to return.

Smith will be wary of the threat of Jurgen Klopp’s side, and he could revert to a five-man midfield, with John McGinn back alongside Conor Hourihane and Jack Grealish.

Liverpool’s title party was spoilt by a 5-0 defeat at Manchester City in midweek, and Jurgen Klopp is expected to make changes.

Dejan Lovren could be handed a rare start in defence, with youngsters Neco Williams and Curtis Jones also pushing to start, alongside Divock Origi and Naby Keita.
