Leicester City will be hoping to build on their strong Premier League start when they welcome Burnley to the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers’ men put three past new boys West Brom without reply last week, with the evergreen Jamie Vardy bagging two penalties.

Burnley are yet to get their campaign underway, with the trip to the Foxes their first game of the new Premier League season.

Leicester have had a makeshift defence in recent games, with injuries to Ricardo Pereira, Wes Morgan and Jonny Evans forcing midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to partner Caglar Soyuncu at the back.

This has led to cries from some Leicester supporters to invest in a new centre back, with Burnley’s James Tarkowski – who is also interesting West Ham – a name thrown in to the mix.

Boss Brendan Rodgers though has made it clear that signing a new creative player is the club’s main objective this transfer window, with reports claiming Roma winger Cengiz Under is close to agreeing a deal.

For Burnley, it has been eerily quiet on the transfer front, with only West Ham’s staunch interest in James Tarkowski grabbing headlines.

The Clarets insist the England man isn’t for sale – gaffer Sean Dyche, along with the supporters, are keen to see new additions to the Burnley squad before the window shuts.

Johan Berg Gudmundsson’s injury woes continue at Burnley, with the Icelander being ruled out for a long time with a knee ligament injury.

He joins Jack Cork, Ben Mee and Ashley Barnes on the sidelines for the Clarets.

Leicester City v Burnley is a 1900 kick off on Sunday, September 20th.
