Burnley travel to already-relegated Norwich City on Saturday knowing anything less than a win will realistically end their hopes of a Europa League finish.

The Clarets are currently tenth in the Premier League table, 3 points off the European places and with an inferior goal difference to those around them.

A win against the Canaries will elevate Sean Dyche’s side up the standings, but that 11 goal swing to Sheffield United, who handily lost to Leicester on Thursday, will keep them out of the Europa League spots.

Norwich City head in to this one looking to stem the awful run of results which contributed to their relegation from the Premier League last week, with Daniel Farke’s side losing a club record 25 games in a single season.

The German manager will likely point to injuries as a factor in their downfall this season, and that lengthy sick list remains, with Moritz Leitner, Christoph Zimmermann and Sam Byram amongst the absentees.

With Championship football next season already confirmed, Farke may try and integrate academy players in to his squad for the remaining games.

For Burnley, Sean Dyche’s concern will lie with Jay Rodriguez, with the in-form forward having to be substituted with an ankle complaint against Wolves last time out.

Charlie Taylor is also a doubt for the clash with Norwich, having suffered a knock to the knee.

Norwich City v Burnley is a 5.30pm kick off on Saturday, July 18.
