Newcastle could make Erik ten Hag the third highest paid manager in the Premier League if they can manage to lure the Dutchman to Tyneside next month.

The Magpies have already confirmed they are willing to delay a move to appoint Steve Bruce’s replacement as the club board look to take their time on a shortlist.

However, despite their calmness over the situation, fan speculation is rife as to who will replace Bruce at St. James’ Park.

Ajax boss ten Hag has emerged as a recent option despite being tied to the Amsterdam giants until 2023.

However, according to reports from the Daily Mail this morning, Newcastle will offer him an £11m deal to join their Magpies revolution.

If ten Hag accepts, he’d become the highest paid manager in Newcastle history, and just behind Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp on the current Premier League list.
