Wolves have missed out on a third successive 1-0 Premier League win as Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy snatched a late draw at Molineux.

Nuno Santo’s side struggled to break down the Magpies, but two goals in the final 10 minutes from Raul Jimenez and Murphy ensured a tense finale.

The home side were bright and busy in the opening stages with Daniel Podence drawing a smart stop from Karl Darlow.

But in truth that was the only real chance in a dull first 45 minutes in the West Midlands.

Wolves did improve slightly after the break with Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves testing Darlow.

However, with the game seemingly drifting to a boring goalless draw Jimenez edged the hosts in front.

Neto’s free kick caused chaos inside the Newcastle box and Jimenez did brilliantly to keep his cool and
power home.

But with just a single goal lead heading into added time, Wolves left the door open for and unlikely Newcastle comeback and Murphy took full advantage as he curled home a superb free kick.

Full Time at Molineux it’s Wolves 1 Newcastle 1
