Newcastle boss Steve Bruce could come under further pressure this week as a Magpies fan poll voted for him to be sacked.

Steve Bruce is yet to win in Premier League action this season with Newcastle heading into the international break with three points from seven.

However, despite Bruce’s contract running until the end of the campaign, fans want him out.

The Newcastle United Supporters Trust confirmed 94% of fans polled want Bruce to either leave or for owner Mike Ashley to sack the former Manchester United defender.

The fan backlash could further weaken Bruce’s position with Newcastle facing Tottenham at home next weekend.
