Klopp’s side did begin to turn the heat after the restart with Salah finally edging them ahead on the hour.

That breakthrough knocked West Ham confidence immediately and Salah ruthlessly punished them.
Xherdan Shaqiri sweeping pass released him in behind Craig Dawson and the calmly lifted past Fabianksi.
And with Liverpool’s swagger firmly back in the final minutes, Gini Wijnaldum popped up in the box to power home Roberto Firmino’s pass.
The Hammers did grab themselves a consolation late on Dawson headed home from a corner, but in reality the night belonged to Liverpool.
