Michail Antonio marked his West Ham return this weekend with an 90th minute winner as the Hammers edged out a 2-1 win at Leeds.
David Moyes’ side bounced back as well as previously suspended striker Michail Antonio following defeat against Manchester United.
But as for Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds, their miserable start to the season continues.
The visitors looked to carry the greater threat early on as Illan Meslier produced key stops from Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio.
But despite being second best early on, Leeds were quick to take their chance to edge in front, as wing wizard Rafinha swept home Rodrigo’s cut back.
The Brazilian was then unlucky not to double the lead before the break as his drive bounced back off the post.
However, West Ham kept their cool to drive back into it after the break with Tomas Soucek denied an equaliser by VAR.
And with Leeds unable to take advantage, the Hammers were handed a lucky leveller, as Jarrod Bowen’s cross shot flew in off Junior Firpo.
That tipped it for West Ham late on, as the under pressure Leeds looked to bed in for a draw, but Michail Antonio got the better of Jamie Shackleton to slot home the winner.
