England duo Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden have been sent home from international duty after breaking team Covid-19 guidelines while in Iceland.

The pair reportedly brought girls back to the England hotel following the 1-0 win over Iceland on Saturday night, something that breaks the ‘bubble’ of the England squad while in Reykjavik.

The hotel the England squad were using is exclusively for the team, and due to fears of the virus spreading, visitors are not allowed unless organised properly.

Gareth Southgate confirmed the pair were travelling back to England instead of with the team to Denmark, where they face the Danes in their second Nations League game on Tuesday night.

Foden and Greenwood could also face disciplinary measures in future.
