Manchester United have gained a crucial Top Four advantage this weekend as they a dramatic 1-0 win over West Ham.

Manchester United are in the box seat for a Champions League spot, as some late drama in Manchester means they now move one point back above West Ham.

Neither side carved out much before the break as Cristiano Ronaldo stretched everything to try and nod home Bruno Fernandes’ cross.

However, the pace did step up in the second 45 with Fred testing Alphonse Areola and Jarrod Bowen lashing one just wide.

Ralf Rangnick threw on Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani as late subs and it was to be his changes that turned the tide in controversial fashion.

Cavani looked to have stepped offside as his cut back was tapped home by Rashford but the VAR gods were smiling on United.

Full Time from Old Trafford it’s Manchester United 1 West Ham 0
