Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool has been sensationally postponed following fan protests at Old Trafford.
United were due to host Jurgen Klopp’s side at a 4.30pm kick off but that was delayed following iconic scenes in Manchester.
Thousands of United fans gathered outside the stadium to protest against the Glazer family’s ownership of the club and the failed European Super League application.
Supporters eventually found their way onto the pitch before being dispersed by security staff and police.
However, despite initial delays to the kick off, United, Liverpool, the police and the Premier League confirmed the game would be concerned amid safety concerns.
The Premier League are expected to provide an update on a rearranged date for the fixture in due course.
