Manchester United’s chaotic season provided one final twist on the last day of the campaign as they lost 1-0 away at Crystal Palace.

Defeat in South London rounded off a miserable 2022 for Manchester United, but West Ham’s loss away at Brighton, means Erik ten Hag will be playing Europa League football next season.

United looked bright on the day at Selhurst Park, with Edinson Cavani denied, and Bruno Fernandes inches away from a breakthrough.

But despite that, Palace’s slick attack caused problems for the United back line either side of the break and it was United old boy Wilf Zaha who pounced on Fernandes’ error to clinch it for Palace.

Full Time from Selhurst Park it’s Crystal Palace 1 Manchester United 0
