England boss Gareth Southgate has hailed Manchester City star Jack Grealish this weekend after the winger finally netted his first ever senior goal for the Three Lions.

Manchester City’s record signing Jack Grealish established as cult player within the England fanbase this summer despite only playing a rotating role at Euro 2020.

And on the back of that, Grealish has admitted he’s been frustrated at his lack of goals for the national side.

But after coming on as a late substitute against Andorra last night, Grealish immediately won a penalty for England, before the midfielder netted the final goal in a 5-0 win.

And that breakthrough meant Southgate praised Grealish in his patience in waiting for a first goal and he claimed the City star could now push on and really kickstart his England career.
