Manchester City will build a statue of former midfielder David Silva, with the Spanish international set to depart the club after ten years.

Silva has established himself as one the Premier League greatest ever players, with four league titles since 2010.

Club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed the news earlier today, with former skipper Vincent Kompany also having a statue built following his retirement announcement today.

City will also name one of the training facilities after Silva, with the former Valencia yet to decide where he will be playing next season, with offers on the table from Italy, Spain and the United States.
