Manchester City’s title juggernaut has powered on again this weekend as the defending champions sealed a 1-0 win over Chelsea.
The pre match hype had tipped this as Chelsea last chance to haul back Pep Guardiola but in response City now move 13 points clear at the top.
And City played with a point to prove from the off in this one as Chelsea struggled to live with them before the break.
England star Jack Grealish was denied by Kepa in their best before the whistle as Thomas Tuchel’s charges dug in.
However, as so often in the case, the restart handed Chelsea a perfect smash and grab chance at the other end, only for Ederson to claw out Romelu Lukaku’s curler.
But you only really get one chance against this City side as Pep’s men powered on to clinch it.
Kevin De Bruyne burst through two Chelsea challenges, and with little on for the pass, he bent home a brilliant winner.
Full Time from the Etihad Stadium it’s Manchester City 1-0 Chelsea
