Manchester City are back to winning ways in the Premier League as Pep Guardiola’s side sealed a 1-0 win at Sheffield United.

City were far from their ruthless best against Chris Wilder’s team, but a first half strike from former Blade Kyle Walker secured a vital three points.

The visitors bossed the game in the early stages in awful conditions in Sheffield with Ferran Torres and Rodri bringing the best out of Aaron Ramsdale.

And with the traffic all heading in one direction in West Yorkshire, City edged themselves in front on 28 minutes.

Walker found himself in acres of space outside the box, after United failed to properly clear their lines, and the England international took his time and bulleted an effort past Ramsdale.

City did look to step on the gas after the break, but Ramsdale showed again why he is so highly rated by Wilder with an excellent stop from Riyad Mahrez.

And with City unable to put the game to bed they left the door open for the home side in the closing minutes.

But Wilder and his players were unable to take advantage as the Blades remain winless this season.

Full Time at Bramall Lane it’s Sheffield United 0 Manchester City 1
