Manchester City have kept up the title pressure on Chelsea and Liverpool this weekend as defending champions swept to a 3-0 win over Everton.
Rafa Benitez’s injury hit Everton set the defensive stall out early on in this one but City ruthless attacking power eventually broke them down.
City dominated from kick off as Ilkay Gundogan clipped the crossbar and teenage star Cole Palmer flashed one just wide.
But with Pep Guardiola’s side looking to probe and push before the break Raheem Sterling eased home Joao Cancelo’s cross to finally break the deadlock.
That breakthrough opened it up for City in the second 45 as Spanish star Rodri cannoned home a superb second.
And with cruise control on in the final minutes, City did eventually make it three, as Bernardo Silva popped up to poke past Jordan Pickford.
Full Time from the Etihad Stadium it’s Manchester City 3-0 Everton
