Liverpool’s 2022 treble dreams were ended in ruthless fashion in Paris last night as Real Madrid snatched a 1-0 win in the French capital.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges were punished by Vinicius Jr’s second half goal as Los Blancos strode on to clinch a 14th Champions League title.

However, despite the final result, Liverpool did have the better of it before the break with former Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois producing vital stops from Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

But the crucial moment on the hour decided it for Carlo Ancelotti as Vini Jr stole in to poke home Fede Valverde’s cross.

And despite Liverpool rousing themselves again late on, Courtois came the rescue with another vital late save from Salah.

Full Time from Stade de France it’s Liverpool 0 Real Madrid 1
