Manchester United’s crisis has hit historical levels this weekend as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were battered 5-0 at home by Liverpool.

Solskjaer now stands on the brink at Old Trafford as Liverpool sealed their biggest ever win over Manchester United as home fans poured out before the final whistle.

Liverpool’s impressive recent run saw them head down the M62 with sky high confidence and Jurgen Klopp’s side dominated from start to finish.

The Reds flew out of the box against a shell shocked United with Naby Keita burying a flowing counter-attack before Diogo Jota slid home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pass.

And with United on the ropes before the break a rampant Liverpool showed no signs of slowly as the in-form Mo Salah got himself in on the act.

The Egyptian King got across Harry Maguire to nip home Keita’s pass before pouncing on some more ponderous United defending to make it 4-0 before the break.

And with the tie well and truly over after the restart the Old Trafford air turn from foul to full on toxic.

Jordan Henderson’s pass released Salah for his hat trick before Paul Pogba – who has 8 months left on his contract –  was dismissed for a lunge at Keita and Ole departed to face an incoming storm in Manchester.

Full Time from Old Trafford it’s Manchester United 0-5 Liverpool
