Merseyside Police have confirmed 15 arrests following a mass gathering at the Liver Building, on the back of Liverpool’s Premier League title win.

Hundreds of fans contravened social distancing guidelines to celebrate along the city’s famous waterfront, with police stating arrest were made for a host of public order offences.

Two men have been charged from the incident, one for assault and another in connection with a flare being fired at a public building.

Liverpool FC have condemned the actions of what they describe as a minority of fans, with the club calling for no public gatherings ahead of their clash with Manchester City in midweek.
