Liverpool have ended their Premier League campaign coming up short in the Premier League title race despite their 3-1 win over Wolves.

Liverpool rose to the challenge of chasing down Manchester City on the final day but it’s Pep Guardiola’s side reacted to retain their league title.

With all eyes on Manchester and Merseyside, Liverpool slipped to a disastrous start as Raul Jimenez stole in behind to tee up Pedro Neto for a shock opener.

That goal opened the tie up at both ends before the break, with Luis Diaz and Leander Dendoncker wasting chances, before Sadio Mane calmly steered the Reds level.

However, with the pressure rising late on, Mo Salah and Andy Robertson wrapped it up for Jurgen Klopp’s hosts, but City’s win over Aston Villa keeps the title at the Etihad.

Full Time from Anfield it’s Liverpool 3 Wolves 1
