It’s ended in stalemate as East met West in the Midlands derby with high flying Leicester drawing 0-0 away at Wolves.
Neither side were able to force a breakthrough at Molineux but it will be Brendan Rodgers as the more frustrated boss as the Foxes wasted some excellent chances.
Both teams carved out half chances in a busy opening with Leander Dendoncker heading over and Kelechi Iheanacho firing wide.
But it was Leicester who created the clearest chance before the break as Iheanacho fed James Maddison inside the box, but the England international thrashed his effort straight at Rui Patricio.
The visitors continued to boss possession after the break, but despite the introduction of Jamie Vardy, they could not find a way through.
The former England star did almost nick it for Rodgers in added time as he got on the end of Marc Albrighton’s cross into the box, but that little bit of rustiness saw flick wide of Patricio’s post.
