Bournemouth winger David Brooks is nearing a move to Leicester City, reports claim.

The Manchester Evening News suggest that Brendan Rodgers is close to landing the Wales international, who was relegated from the Premier League with the Cherries last season.

Brooks’ departure would be the second Dean Court exit this week after striker Callum Wilson put pen to paper on a deal at Newcastle United.

Bournemouth are asking for a reported £35m for Brooks, which seems steep in the current climate – but the Foxes do have money to play with following the sale of Ben Chilwell to Chelsea earlier on in the transfer window.

Leicester are said to face competition from Manchester United for the 23-year-old, but those at the King Power Stadium are growing increasingly confident that Brooks will be a Foxes player sooner rather than later.
