Leeds United have pulled off a final day Premier League survival act as they won 2-1 away at Brentford.
Leeds headed to the capital on the last day of the campaign needing to better Burnley’s result and Jesse Marsch’s side produced an incredible late response against Brentford.
And despite the pressure, Leeds were the brighter of the sides early on, with Joe Gelhardt’s snapshot ruled out by VAR before Raphinha fired home from the spot.
The Bees did look to cause some nerves late on, as Sergi Canos nodded home, before the Spaniard was then quickly dismissed.
But the day was to be for the travelling Leeds fans as Jack Harrison battered home a brilliant winner.
Full Time from the Brentford Community Stadium it’s Brentford 1 Leeds United 2
