Leeds United have identified Reading midfielder Michael Olise as a top transfer target.

With just under 2 months under the January transfer window opens, Premier League clubs have already begun drawing up shortlists of potential reinforcements to their squads.

Leeds are no exception, and according to reports, 18-year-old Reading man Michael Olise is one of Marcelo Bielsa’s top priorities.

It’s claimed that Olise has a release clause in his Royals contract of £8m, something Leeds are prepared to pay for the youngster who has started the majority of Reading’s Championship games this season.

Reports also suggest that Olise was catching the eye of those at Elland Road during the summer window too, but no move materialised.

Reading have enjoyed a great start to the season and currently sit three points clear at the top of the Championship table, with Olise scoring twice and assisting three times so far.

Olise is under contract at the Madejski Stadium until 2022, but Leeds may capitalise on that £8m buy-out clause in January to bring the France U18 international to Yorkshire.
