Leeds United are reportedly making a move for Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia.
The Whites are on course to achieve automatic promotion from the Championship this season, potentially replacing the Canaries, who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
And they have identified Buendia as someone who could help them stay there, should they see out the rest of the season in the top two.
The 23-year-old has been one of Norwich’s better performers in a disappointing season, notching seven assists in a team that has only scored 25 goals this campaign.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, Buendia’s fellow Argentine, has a style of football that would seem to suit the winger, and his club are said to have asked about his availability, should the two swap places in the football pyramid next season.
