Leeds United look set to complete a deadline day move for Manchester United winger Daniel James.

Dan James has stayed behind in the UK as the rest of the Wales squad flew out to Finland for their key World Cup qualifier with the midfielder completing his move to Leeds United.

Marcelo Bielsa sanctioned the move which was completed before the window closed with Man United set to receive a fee of around £25m plus add-ons.

The United fans favourite almost joined Leeds from Swansea back in 2019 only for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to scupper the deal with a late swoop.

After only two years with the Red Devils there is now more competition for places in the squad than before following a busy transfer window for United.

With Cristiano Ronaldo due to arrive back in Manchester next week, James’ playing time at Old Trafford began to look increasingly slim.
