Leeds United have had a disastrous international break, as two of their key defenders have returned injured from national duty.

Liam Cooper and new signing Diego Llorente have both suffered groin injuries with their countries, and have returned to Thorp Arch to receive treatment.

Of the two, Cooper’s injury is less serious, but he is facing a tough task to be ready for the visit of Wolves next Monday night. New signing Llorente is also back at the club after limping out of training ahead of Spain’s Nations League game against Ukraine on Tuesday night.

Llorente has yet to make his debut for his new club since joining from Real Sociedad, but may have to wait three weeks if initial reports turn out to be accurate.
