Leeds United finally have their first win of the Premier League campaign as Marcelo Bielsa’s side squeezed out a valuable 1-0 win over Watford.
Leeds bossed the majority of the tie in West Yorkshire but it was left to Diego Llorente’s scrappy first half goal eventually clinched that much needed win for Bielsa against Watford.
Some panicked Watford defending handed Leeds their first chance in the opening 15 but a sprawling Ben Foster reacted brilliantly to keep out Stuart Dallas.
However, with Leeds controlling it before the break, they finally edging in front on 19 minutes as a stumbling Llorente steered home Raphinha’s corner.
But with Leeds unable to make the game safe in the second 45, VAR came to their rescue to rule out Emmanuel Dennis’ close range effort before Welsh star Tyler Roberts agonisingly rattled the crossbar in added time.
Full Time from Elland Road it’s Leeds United 1-0 Watford
